Roof Rack Cargo Basket

Greetings fellow Renegades!

Here is my review of the ARKSEN 64" Universal Black Roof Rack Cargo with Extension Car Top Luggage Holder Carrier Basket SUV Storage, Black available on Amazon.

I ordered this back in February and must say I am very pleased. It was ordered on a Friday and delivered the following Wednesday. It was packaged well and came with all parts needed. The rack is available in several lengths, 43", 64", and 84". I went with the 64" for the my Renegade and I think it's a great fit.

The aluminum rack was easy to assemble. The 64" version came with one extension peice that simply inserts between the front and end pieces of the rack. With the extension, use the 4 included bolts to secure the pieces together with the included hex key wrench. This would be my only complaint. The supplied hex key wrench is made with soft metal and the tip is easily rounded. Although I used it for the entire assemble, I used my own hex key wrench to ensure everything was properly tightened before installing on the Renegade.

This rack comes with a wind faring with installs easily as well. You'll notice I turned mine around to allow a blank black side facing front. The plan is to install some decals in the future. You'll also notice in the photos, I replaced some of the included wing nuts with lock nuts. It's not needed, I just wanted to make the rack a little more "theft resistant."

Overall, after having it installed for a month, I am very pleased and would recommend this rack to any price conscience Renegade owner; well, anyone who's looking for a roof rack basket.
